What's the role
As an Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following in accordance with relevant codes.
Accountabilities:
Troubleshooting DCS (Digital Control System) control interfaces; level, flow, and pressure measurement equipment; vibration measurement instrumentation; low, medium, and high voltage equipment; and power generation and distribution equipmentRead and understand piping/instrument and electrical drawings of instrumentation, control, power, and metering circuitryRemove, repair, maintain, and test emergency shutdown valves and control valvesUnderstanding of proper application of pressure-rated piping/tubing fittings associated with various equipment (manual sample stations, control valves, instrumentation, etc.)Diagnose and apply results using various test equipmentApply Electrical Safety Rules in accordance with site and OSHA standardsRecord work history and submit feedback for continuous improvement of maintenance plans, policies, and proceduresTroubleshoot and repair instrument or electrical systemsPerform routine installation and calibration of instrument or electrical systemsAbility to perform reactive or preventative maintenance of instrument or electrical systems and components
Work Schedule 9/80 base work schedule with varied schedules depending on worksite demandCertain plant conditions will require night shift, weekends, and holidays (turnarounds, outages, major plant activities, production support, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in Instrumentation or Electrical craft disciplinesAssociate Degree in Industrial MaintenanceCompletion of a Military Maintenance School programExperience troubleshooting and operating Process Control Systems (PCS) or Distributed Control Systems (DCS); experience with Emerson DeltaVExperience maintaining and troubleshooting process instrumentation, including pressure, flow, temperature, custody transfer, and weighing systemsExperience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire and gas detection systems; Det-Tronics experienceExperience installing, testing, and troubleshooting PLCs, including ladder logic modifications (Allen-Bradley, Siemens PCS7, GE Mark VII)Experience troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing control valves, positioners, and actuatorsExperience creating and installing tubing runs using Swagelok or Parker systemsStrong working knowledge of HART-based communicators and instrumentation

What we offer
The rate for this position is $41.77 - $55.35. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
