Job Description Summary
Ready Mix Truck Drivers are responsible for delivering products to various local customers and job site locations. All deliveries are local so drivers are home every night. Operates truck in a safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area, and at various job sites to deliver materialsAligns mixer drum under disbursement chute at the plant to receive the product into the mixer truck drumFills truck water tank with water while mixer drum is being filledOperates conveyor unit on those trucks with attached conveyors. Will use a hand-held control box to operate and hydraulically move the conveyor beltKeeps accurate log of deliveries and completes required paperwork for billingPerforms pre and post-trip truck and trailer inspectionsInforms Service Technician of any maintenance or repairs neededMay perform minor maintenance tasks to trucks or equipment as needed
Requirements The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate good performance, safety, and attendanceDemonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervisionDemonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidaysDemonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Dispatcher, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, and other employeesDemonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and all other company or governmental state rules and regulationsRegular and predictable attendance at assigned times is requiredMust have good depth perception and coordination to operate controlsMust have a valid driver's license - Class A or B CDL requiredPrescreening is required before being employed by Callanan Industries, Inc./Clemente Latham Concrete.
Preferences Experience with ready-mixed operations a plus
Education/Experience Ready-mixed experience is preferred but will train the right people.
