We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Miami Lakes, FL
You will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms complex unassisted engine overhaulsAbility to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic toolsDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsMentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
Collaborates with service leaders, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to prioritize work, optimize shop throughput, and meet customer delivery commitments while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Conducts post-repair inspections, operational testing, and quality checks to verify repairs are completed correctly, ensuring equipment is returned to the customer in a reliable and service-ready condition.
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.A CDL may be required to obtain upon hireFederal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older Job Service
