As part of the Strategic Finance - Tech Finance team, you will help scale the financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities and empower decision-makers across Tech and Finance leadership. You will play a key role in all aspects of financial reporting and make significant contributions to high-profile strategic and operational initiatives. Your work and the insights you create will drive real-time business decisions and help Uber continue to scale while also creating more opportunities for the many thousands of couriers, restaurants, and drivers that use our platform daily.
What You'll Do Financial & Operational Planning: Partner with company leaders to develop financial forecasts and operational goalsPartner with the business: To apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision-making related to new initiatives, products, and business opportunitiesSophisticated financial modeling: Break complex business problems down into components, and build models from scratch as well as improve existing modelsStrategic Thinking & Execution Excellence: Partner with your team to execute projects and operationalize our insightsWork closely with accounting to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actualsBe creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets Basic Qualifications BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, MIS or other relevant subject2+ years of proven experienceExperience with Excel/Google SheetsPrior financial and/or analytical experience including FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or operations Preferred Qualifications Outstanding analytical skills - standard methodologies are second nature, and your models are efficient, scalable, and intuitiveExcellent communication and people skills - numbers are key, but a business is built with peopleSelf-starter - you will take initiative, be dedicated, set and drive toward goalsAbility to prioritize - we are consistently working on multiple projects at any given time, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and has the ability to optimally multitaskStandout colleague - this is a highly collaborative and encouraging team environmentAttention to detail and ability to execute in a fast-paced environmentBasic knowledge of GAAPExperience with enterprise-level financial planning systems, SQL, and/or statistical software package For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $106,000 per year - USD $118,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $106,000 per year - USD $118,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
