The opportunity Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals to ensure efficient and effective operational procurement activities, supporting HITACHI ENERGY business objectives and supply chain optimization.
How you'll make an impact
Manage and mentor a team of procurement specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.Oversee the end-to-end operational procurement process, including requisitioning, purchase order creation, expediting, and invoice resolution.Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize delivery performance for assigned categories.Monitor key procurement metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement.Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, logistics, finance, planning ) to understand their needs and ensure timely and effective supply.Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, leveraging best practices and technology.Resolve complex supplier issues effectively and efficiently. Your background
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, ideally with 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.Proven experience in operational procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong understanding of procurement best practices and supplier relationship management.Proficiency in SAPExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent are a plus.English on negotiation level, German should be B1 More about us
