Video goes from something reviewed in retrospect to active, real-time decision support. This allows millions of existing cameras to become intelligent sensors that actively support businesses across retail, logistics, security, and public environments. We recently closed our Seed Investment Round, announced together with Dagens Industri, and are now scaling to meet growing demand. The company is also certified through Inspektionen för strategiska produkter (ISP), reflecting the strategic nature of the technology we are building. The Role We are looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer who wants to play a key role in building the technical foundation behind our vision intelligence platform. You will work on complex software systems connecting cameras, AI models, real-time video streams, infrastructure, and user-facing applications. Your focus will be on designing and building reliable, scalable systems capable of supporting thousands of concurrent video streams and deployments across multiple customers and environments. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role. You will write production code, take ownership of technical decisions, contribute to system architecture, solve complex engineering problems, and help establish strong engineering standards as we scale. You will work closely with our AI, infrastructure, DevOps, and product teams to turn advanced AI capabilities into robust production systems. This is a full-time, permanent position (tillsvidareanställning) based in Sweden, with employment at 100% (40 hours per week). Your main responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems and services Take technical ownership of key components from architecture to production Build robust APIs, backend services, and data architectures Develop systems handling large numbers of cameras, events, users, and real-time data streams Integrate AI models and inference pipelines into production systems Collaborate with AI, DevOps, and infrastructure engineers on deployment, reliability, observability, and performance Make architectural decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, security, and performance Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and complex production issues Design systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource utilization Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, production-ready code Participate in code reviews and help establish strong engineering practices Improve internal tooling, testing, development workflows, and engineering productivity Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing Help shape the long-term technical direction of the platform as we scale
Who are we looking for? Several years of professional software engineering experience building complex, production-grade systems Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience designing scalable architectures Strong experience with backend development, APIs, databases, and distributed systems Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages used in production environments Experience with databases, data modeling, caching, queues, and asynchronous processing Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar Understanding of Docker, CI/CD, and modern software deployment practices Strong understanding of system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability Experience with real-time systems, streaming architectures, video infrastructure, computer vision, or AI-powered applications is a strong advantage Experience with microservices or distributed architectures is an advantage Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions and balance speed, scalability, and maintainability Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently investigate complex technical challenges Experience taking technical ownership of systems or projects from design through production Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; Swedish is a plus
