Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a GIS Specialist for our Birmingham or Huntsville, AL office to provide quality planning, designing and technical overview to assist the Project Manager/Client Account Manager in delivering project, within budgetary and time constraints. Create and maintain GIS databases, perform data analysis, and produce high-quality maps and graphics. Support engineering and environmental teams with GIS deliverables for transportation, water, wastewater, stormwater, site development, and environmental projects. Collect, process, and integrate survey, CAD, and field data into GIS platforms. Develop custom GIS tools, applications, and workflows to improve efficiency and data visualization. Manage geospatial data from public and private sources to support project requirements. Conduct spatial analysis to support planning, modeling, and decision-making. Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and exhibits using GIS outputs. Provide technical support and training to staff on GIS tools and applications.
