The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants. The Opportunity We are now recruiting for an Operational Training & Competence Advisor. The Training & Competence Advisor is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining training and competency assurance programmes that support the safe, compliant and effective delivery of operations across the px Group portfolio using the px training and competency framework. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence. This role is key to supporting the process that ensures employees possess the appropriate skills, knowledge, qualifications and behavioural competencies required to perform their roles safely, efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements and company standards. The position also provides direct line management to members of the Training and Competence team, ensuring the effective delivery of training services, workforce development initiatives and competency management processes that support operational excellence and business performance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; Review, improve and maintain training frameworks aligned to organisational and industry requirements. Conduct training needs analyses across operations and support functions Develop annual training plans and competency development strategies aligned with agreed budgets. Coordinate delivery of technical, safety, leadership and mandatory training programmes. Maintain competence management systems and competency matrices, identifying continuous improvement and making any agreed changes Ensure competency assessment processes meet organisational and regulatory requirements Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards Support internal and external audits relating to training and competence Work closely with operations, engineering, maintenance and project teams to ensure operations readiness Support mobilisation and onboarding activities for new personnel Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to px SHE policies More details can be found on the role profile
