Up to £35 per completed interview | Location: Wales - Monmouth Welsh speakers are strongly encouraged to apply. This role involves speaking with people in communities across Wales and helping make sure their views are heard. Get paid to find out what people are thinking in Wales and make a difference. As a Field Interviewer, you will visit people in your local area and carry out in-home research interviews on issues that matter. You will help organisations and public bodies better understand people's experiences, views and needs across Wales. This is about listening, not selling. People you visit will usually have received a letter beforehand, but they may not be expecting you. A key part of the role is explaining why the research matters, putting people at ease and helping them feel comfortable taking part. Using a NatCen device, you will guide conversations and accurately record responses. Every interview provides valuable insight that helps shape services, transport, policy and community decisions across Wales. Training and support You will be fully trained before carrying out interviews by yourself, including: · Shadowing experienced interviewers · Role-play and guided practice · Supported doorstep visits · Regular check-ins once you are up and running What you will earn · Up to £35 per completed interview, typically · Holiday pay at 12.1% and admin fees · Paid travel time on most projects at £4.68 per hour · Mileage allowance at 36p per mile, up to 10,000 miles · Bonus payments up to £750 in your first 12 months * Average hourly earnings are typically around £15.12 including holiday pay, with experienced interviewers often earning more. What you will need · Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car · Appropriate business-use car insurance · Right to work in the UK · Willingness to complete a DBS check · Reliable home broadband · Confidence using basic technology · At least 10 hours available per week, including some weekdays, evenings and weekends · Strong verbal and written English · Welsh speaking skills are strongly welcomed Who this role suits This role suits people who enjoy speaking with others, can work independently and are comfortable approaching people from different backgrounds. It is a good fit if you have worked in retail, hospitality, administration, driving, sales or another customer-facing role. Previous research experience is not required, as full training is provided.
