Facilities and Health and Safety Administrator @ MidKent College

Provide general administrative support to the Facilities Department, with specific duties in respect of providing the administrative link between Health and Safety Consultants and the College, including providing a front-line enquiry service for all internal Health and Safety enquiries, playing a key role in supporting departments to ensure Health and Safety compliance. The following is an indication of the type and level of the main priorities expected of this role as directed by your line manager and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties or tasks: 1. Support the Health and Safety Consultants in their completion of room audits for compliance with legislation, i.e. risk assessments, COSHH information and general mitigations against accidents and injuries. 2. Assist with ensuring that room audit actions are followed up by the responsible manager and liaising with the Health and Safety Consultants once these actions have been completed, in order to allow follow up audits to run smoothly. 3. Collate monthly Health and Safety data, in particular the reported accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring that the Health and Safety Consultants are assisted in following up to ensure that the College can learn from such issues and communicate lessons learned to relevant stakeholders or departments as necessary. 4. Assist with the general management of the department, providing a full administrative service, including undertaking reprographics duties, and ensuring that systems are periodically reviewed, including drawing up correspondence, updating notice boards, monitoring and resolving credit card issues, expenses etc., assisting with Facilities Department ordering and distributing information as required, ensuring that appropriate arrangements are in place in order to maintain continuity of service at all times. 5. Assist with the recording and approval of trips for students, in particular in communication with the H&S consultants to ensure that all risk assessments are appropriate and acceptable for approval.
