About this role
As the Avionics Manufacturing Supervisor at Impulse , you will hire, manage, and mentor avionics manufacturing technicians to support avionics hardware builds for Impulse’s vehicles. You will support manufacturing hardware including PCB assemblies (staking, conformal coating, underfill, soldering), RF passives components (antennas and filters), mechanical assembly, and acceptance testing (electrical and environmental ATP). You will work directly with leaders and individual contributors in other disciplines. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of avionics production. Hire, develop and mentor avionics manufacturing technicians Provide production coordination by driving manufacturing schedule and providing day-to-day support for the production floor for PCBAs and electromechanical assembly Acceptance testing of avionics, hardware, including environmental and electrical testing Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers and quality teams to ensure manufacturability, DFM/DFA compliance, and long-term reliability Set daily and weekly production targets, backed by performance metrics such as rate and yield Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for avionics Establish and maintain high technical standards through specifications and training Manage space, equipment and consumables in the avionics cleanroom
