See yourself working here As a Senior Analyst Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining, enhancing and optimising a suite of critical business applications that support essential network operations. Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors, you'll design and deliver innovative technical solutions, improve system performance, solve complex business challenges and contribute to strategic technology initiatives. This role offers something unique: the opportunity to work across both development and operations, giving you true end-to-end exposure to the full application lifecycle. You'll partner with business and technical stakeholders, contribute to strategic improvements, and play a key role in maintaining the reliability of systems that support critical operational services. Our two head office locations are Sydney Haymarket and Newcastle, and we are open to where the candidate is based. What you’ll be doing Design, develop and implement technical solutions that improve business processes and system capability. Support the ongoing operation, maintenance and performance of critical business applications and integrated systems. Undertake system enhancements, upgrades, testing, deployments and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions. Provide specialist advice on system capabilities, application architecture and future enhancements. Participate in technology and business improvement projects from planning through to delivery. Work with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement system improvements. Contribute to operational support activities, including participation in on-call support arrangements where required. We are looking for a technically capable and curious professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and working across both project delivery and operational support environments. Essential Experience: Experience in some or all the following would be highly regarded: Developing and deploying solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including Web Apps, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Blob Storage and Service Bus. Web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS and REST APIs. C#/.NET development including Microsoft Blazor. SQL Server development and performance optimisation, including query execution plan analysis, index tuning, bottleneck identification and routine database maintenance. Administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure environments using Application Insights, Log Analytics, performance monitoring, alerts, diagnostics and resource management. Modern software development practices, including build and release automation, CI/CD pipeline management and application deployment with Azure DevOps. Managing Git repositories and version control, including branching, merging, pull requests, code reviews, releases and repository maintenance. Knowledge of testing methodologies including unit, component and systems integration testing and automation. Highly Regarded Experience within utilities, infrastructure, engineering or other asset-intensive industries. Understanding of secure application development practices utilising tools such as Checkmarx.
