Summary/Objective Administer the Commercial and Confined Wildlife Permits program for the Department. Essential Job Duties Coordinate with internal and external agencies or branches on the administration of the Commercial and Confined Wildlife Permit program. Review applications for compliance with the Wildlife Code of Missouri and other internal and external policies and regulations. Develop a thorough understanding of the Wildlife Code of Missouri and other internal and external policies and regulations. Responsible for the receipt and reconciliation of monies related to new and renewal applications, as well as ordering of supplemental books, bands, and tags. Manage inventory and other program related supplies, including bidding and printing of materials. Maintain applications and reporting forms to ensure they remain in compliance with the Wildlife Code of Missouri and other internal and external policies and regulations. Provide responses to requests for records related to the Commercial and Confined Wildlife Permit program. Oversee continued development and testing of the Commercial and Confined Wildlife Permits software. Serves as the internal and external point of contact for the Commercial and Confined Wildlife Permit program. Develop correspondence with internal and external customers via phone, email, and in-person discussions. Develop and maintain applications, fliers, letters, and reporting forms, as needed. Attend meetings as a representative for the Permit Services section. Provide support to the Wildlife Collector Permit program. Ancillary Job Duties Provide friendly, courteous, and professional customer service to hunting and fishing permit vendors and customers. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Remain informed of current regulations for hunting and fishing seasons. Examines position and branch related processes using lean principles to identfiy continuous improvement opportunities. Back-up and/or assist other administrative personnel, when needed. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED/HiSET required. At least three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to use office equipment, such as copier, multi-line phone system, fax machine, scanner, 10 key machine and computer. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Time management and organizational skills. Attention to detail. Work Environment Work is performed in a standard office environment. Physical Abilities Remain in a stationary position 70% or more of the time. Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information. Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Regularly lift up to 5 pounds, correctly lift up to 10 pounds. Concentrated attention is required at all times. Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
