Respect personal as well as others health and safety Technical Expertise Microsoft Office – MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead and manage the Finance Shared Services function in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and management accounting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements, managing financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls, and leading a high-performing finance team. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and technical accounting capabilities, with responsibility for supporting business operations across Bureau Veritas KSA while maintaining compliance with Group policies, financial governance standards, and internal control frameworks. The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and BV Group policies. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Lead the Finance Shared Services Center (SSC) operations in Saudi Arabia. Manage all financial and management accounting activities across Bureau Veritas KSA entities. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Prepare accurate and timely management accounts in accordance with IFRS standards. Ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements and deadlines. Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to management. Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses, and tax obligations. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and business performance analyses. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance against budget and identify variances. Support management with financial planning and decision-making activities. Develop forecasts to support business growth and operational objectives. Treasury & Cash Management Oversee banking operations, cash flow management, and working capital optimization. Manage payment processes, receipts, invoicing, and bank reconciliations. Monitor operating cash flow and ensure effective liquidity management. Maintain strong financial controls over treasury activities. Compliance, Audit & Internal Controls Ensure compliance with internal control policies, financial procedures, and corporate governance requirements. Monitor and record financial transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Manage the implementation and monitoring of Group Internal Control Frameworks. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits. Review and challenge actuarial valuations where applicable. Support compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory reporting obligations. Taxation & Regulatory Reporting Ensure accurate and timely submission of all tax filings and regulatory reports. Maintain compliance with Saudi tax regulations and local content requirements. Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance on financial and tax-related matters to management. Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, motivate, and develop the finance team. Establish departmental objectives and performance targets. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Foster collaboration with business leaders, department managers, and support functions. Stakeholder Management Collaborate closely with: Financial Controller Area Managers Business Line Managers Team Leaders Human Resources Department External Auditors and Regulatory Bodies Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business performance. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's Degree and/or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA) is preferred. Experience Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and compliance. Previous experience leading finance teams and managing accounting operations. Experience working within multinational organizations is highly desirable. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards. Expertise in financial accounting, management accounting, and internal controls. Experience with financial audits, taxation, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP and accounting systems. Leadership & Personal Skills Strong leadership and people management abilities. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Experience within multinational or professional services organizations. Knowledge of Saudi tax regulations, ZATCA requirements, and Local Content regulations. Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
