The Sizewell C Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.#SZCJobs Ganger/Civils Chargehand (Sizewell C) Kier Sizewell C Duties will include: Leading and coordinating a small team of civils operatives Highways and road construction works General groundworks and civils Excavation and reinstatement Drainage, ducting and utilities works Allocating daily tasks and supporting site supervision Ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently Monitoring progress and maintaining good site standards Supporting the coordination of labour, plant and materials within the work area Applicants must hold: Valid SSSTS Valid CSCS card appropriate to their trade and experience Relevant NVQ Level 2 or above in a construction or civil engineering discipline Any additional CPCS/NPORS plant tickets would be advantageous EUSR 1 & 2 or utility-related competencies would also be beneficial Applicants should have: Previous experience as a Chargehand, Lead Groundworker or Civils Chargehand Strong experience on civil engineering, highways or road projects Experience leading or coordinating small teams Good practical knowledge of groundworks and general civils Experience of drainage, ducting and utilities works would be advantageous Previous experience on major infrastructure projects would be beneficial Benefits Accrued holiday pay Enhanced overtime rates - x1.5 after 39 hours, Saturday first 4 hours x1.5 then x2, Sunday x2 Weekly PAYE pay Long-term work on a major UK infrastructure project Training and development opportunities Opportunity to gain additional project-specific competencies and experience Lodge available where applicable Ongoing support from the Venesky-Brown delivery team For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
