Job summary
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a 10 session Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecologist with ATSM/SITM Urogynaecology, subspecialising in urogynaecology for a period of 12 months.
This post is joining a team of 21 Consultants responsible for the provision of O&G services at Singleton Hospital within Swansea Bay University Health Board.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with consultant colleagues to provide a high-quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology service across designated Health Board sites, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness and the promotion of health.
Working collaboratively with consultant colleagues and the multi-professional team, the post holder will have continuing responsibility for patients under their care, ensuring appropriate delegation, supervision and training of staff. The post holder will contribute to the safe, efficient and effective delivery of services in line with Health Board values, operational policies and the Annual Plan, and will support service improvement through quality improvement methodology and timely reporting of safety concerns.

Qualifications Essential
Fully Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice MRCOG (or equivalent) Evidence of training, experience and independent practice in Obstetrics, General Gynaecology & Urogynaecology Evidence of training in urodynamics CCT or eligible within six months of interview date and can demonstrate evidence that they are expected to achieve CCT within 6 months Certificate of completion of ATSM training in Urogynaecology Evidence of training and independent practice in minimal access surgery Certificate of competency in Urodynamics

Endo-anal scanning training Work in a perineal/pelvic floor clinic
Experience Essential
Evidence of thorough and broad training in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology Able to independently manage Urogynaecology patients and undertake and report urodynamics Ability to manage emergency gynaecology independently Ability to: -Take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients. -Perform appropriate surgery for emergency gynaecology. -Independently manage women with complications in early pregnancy. Evidence of active participation in clinical audit. Evidence of initiating change through the audit process
