We are looking for a kind, cheerful and conscientious live-in carer to provide high-quality support to a client with complex care needs in Brighton

We are looking for a care worker who is:

Main duties of the job
The successful live-in carer will provide person-centred, respectful and reliable support to the client, helping them maintain their independence, comfort and quality of life.
Providing personal care and support with daily routines. Supporting the client with their complex care needs, in accordance with their care plan. Assisting with mobility, transfers and positioning as required. Supporting with medication Monitoring the clients wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns appropriately. Preparing meals and drinks, taking account of the clients preferences and dietary requirements. Supporting with household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, tidying. Accompanying and supporting the client with appointments, outings and activities where required. Providing companionship and encouraging social interaction and meaningful activities. Supporting the client to pursue their interests and maintain as much independence as possible. Following care plans, risk assessments, health and safety procedures, maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns or incidents. Respecting the clients home, choices, confidentiality and personal boundaries. Working cooperatively with other carers to ensure consistent, high-quality care.The role is not just about completing care tasks. We are looking for a carer who will become a trusted and positive presence in the clients life.

Person Specification
Qualifications Desirable
Qualified to Level 3 Health and Social Care Candidate must hold full UK driving license and own a car
Experience Essential
Previous experience in care of support work, ideally within complex care or live in care minimum one year. Good communication and observation skills. Reliable, professional and able to work independently, aswell as part of a team. Willing to learn new skills and complete relevant training and competency assessments. The ability to build a positive professional and trusting relationship with the client.
Desirable
Experience in complex care is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge and Skills Essential
Good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, infection prevent, support with medication and health and safety.
