Main duties of the job The role of the Healthcare Assistant at Operose Health involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure optimal patient care within the primary care setting. Candidates with GP practice experience are ideal for this role. The position requires the assistant to engage in patient duties alongside other team members and provide support to clinical leads. Proficiency in phlebotomy is essential as the assistant works with patients managing long-term conditions like diabetes. The assistant is required to perform clinical procedures such as health checks, monitoring BMI, pulse, and wound care. Administrative tasks, including patient registration and stock control, are part of their duties. The ideal candidate is experienced in a primary care setting, adaptable, customer-friendly, and possesses basic computer skills. Main Responsibilities: As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:
Assisting with patient duties as required and support other team members such as clinical and Nurse Lead with patient care. Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance is maintained. You will be working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes etc. So must have experience in Phlebotomy. Provide clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and simple wound care. Completing administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, providing appropriate leaflets, stock control and ordering.Ideal Candidate: What we look for in new colleagues:
Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy. Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security. Must be able to adapt with changing priorities and be personable, polite and patient with our patients. Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email. Qualifications Essential
Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy. Basic PC skills, ability to work within set processes, and adaptability to changing priorities. Ability to use own judgement and be aware of professional boundaries.
