Job summary
Our friendly team of orthotists are seeking an orthotist to join their dynamic, forward thinking team.
We are looking for 0.6 wte clinician to work across our acute and community sites across a range of clinical specialisms. It is essential that the post holder has access to suitable transport.
As an HCPC registered clinician , you will work autonimoulsy to competently and confidently assess, prescribe, and fit orthoses to a range of patients with varying routine presentations, including inpatient wards.
Main duties of the job
You will work within your scope of practice to manage appropriate interventions, ensuring value, high-quality, patient-centred care.
You will be involved in service improvement projects and development of knowledge base to ensure best practice.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Skills Essential
Knowledge and experience of a wide range of approaches to the management of patients with orthotic needs. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Remain updated with professional practice and new research. Able to present information, written and orally, in a clear and logical manner. Understanding of clinical governance and implications for the orthotics service. Ability to comprehend and work with the trusts policies of data protection, equal opportunities and health and safety to meet differing needs of the patients. Able to carry out moderate to intense physical effort through the working day and carry out concurrent activities.
Qualifications and Training Essential
BSc (Hons) Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. HCPC registration.
Experience Essential
Evidence of undergraduate/student orthotist clinical experience.
