Job summary
Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an outstanding individual to become its next Chair. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead one of the UK's largest and most successful NHS foundation trusts at a pivotal time for healthcare, research and innovation.

Main duties of the job
The Chair will lead the Board of Directors and Council of Governors, providing strategic leadership and ensuring the Trust continues to deliver its ambitious vision of Better, Faster, Fairer Healthcare for All. Working closely with the Chief Executive, governors, staff, patients and partners, the successful candidate will champion high-quality patient care, innovation, research, strong governance and collaborative system leadership.
We are looking for an individual with substantial board-level leadership experience, strong strategic and partnership-building skills, a commitment to equality, inclusion and good governance, and the ability to inspire confidence across a wide range of stakeholders.
