McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. We are seeking a plastic surgeon for our community Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital in Katy, TX. Candidates would be considered at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at UTHealth Located at Memorial Hermann Katy (MH-Katy) in Houston, this practice will include trauma and ortho-plastic reconstruction, breast reconstruction, and general plastic surgery. With an active Cancer Center and a full-time UTHealth Houston breast oncology surgeon, MH-Katy offers opportunities to build a broad clinical practice and collaborate across the Memorial Hermann and UTHealth Systems. As MH-Katy expands and advances toward Level II Trauma Center designation, this role will support facial and hand trauma call coverage, partner with regional teams on patient care and call responsibilities, and help grow new faculty programs across the system Houston, the fourth-largest city in the United States, is one of the nation’s fastest-growing metropolitan areas. Qualifications:
• Texas Medical License or eligibility for a Texas Faculty Temporary License • Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Plastic Surgery Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a microsurgery fellowship or hand surgery fellowship
