Job Description: Position Overview The Facility Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, preparing, and coordinating all internal facility maintenance work to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution. This position ensures that all required materials, tools, equipment, permits, documentation, staffing, and schedules are in place prior to work, eliminating unnecessary delays and downtime. As a Production Planner VI, the role applies advanced planning methods, technical knowledge, and practical facility maintenance understanding to create detailed work plans that guide maintenance personnel through repairs, inspections, and infrastructure improvements. This position performs facility inspections, including those conducted by the Project Manager role, and is responsible for documenting findings, identifying maintenance needs, and completing ISR inspection tasks with proper documentation. The Facility Maintenance Planner does not plan subcontractor work but focuses exclusively on internal BAE maintenance activities. Primary Responsibilities • Plans the sequence, scope, and requirements for internal facility maintenance tasks to support daily operational needs and long‑term reliability. • Performs facility inspections including structural, equipment, general facility condition inspections, and additional inspection requirements previously listed under the Project Manager role. • Performs ISR inspections and completes all associated documentation accurately and on time. • Reviews prints, engineering orders, change notices, technical specifications, and permit requirements to develop detailed work plans. • Determines materials, tools, equipment, staffing, PPE, permits, and access needs required for each maintenance job. • Develops work packages and detailed job plans that guide maintenance personnel through safe and efficient execution. • Works within PM.web and the Maintenance Work Order system to plan work, document inspections, track progress, close work orders, and manage planning records. • Estimates job durations accurately and coordinates with the Shutdown Coordinator to schedule required downtime for maintenance tasks. • Attends shutdown planning meetings and ensures all pre-shutdown planning activities are aligned with operational, QSHE, and scheduling requirements. • Serves as the primary liaison between the Facility Maintenance Planner function, the Facility Maintenance Group Leader, and the execution forces. • Coordinates closely with the Facility Maintenance Admin Assistant / PM Coordinator to ensure proper documentation, correct job planning information, and accurate closure of work orders. • Works with schedulers to align maintenance work with production windows, safety constraints, and resource availability. • Ensures all planned work adheres to QSHE policies, procedures, and safety/environmental requirements. • Maintains accurate and organized planning records including schedules, progress reports, inspected asset status, permits, and closure documentation. • Identifies planning gaps, material issues, recurring downtime causes, and develops improved planning strategies and corrective actions. • Communicates job requirements clearly to maintenance personnel, operations, the Group Leader, and the Team Leader. • Supports continuous improvement of maintenance planning practices, documentation quality, and workflow efficiency. • Performs additional planning duties as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Team Leader.

Required Skills and Education: Required Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years general facilities maintenance or equivalent industrial maintenance support experience. • High school diploma or GED required. • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, prints, specifications, and technical instructions. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey detailed planning requirements clearly. • Highly organized with strong documentation, recordkeeping, and scheduling capabilities. • Proven ability to plan multiple work tasks, coordinate resources, and eliminate downtime through effective preparation. • Knowledge of QSHE requirements, safe work practices, and facility hazard controls. • Experience with Windows-based software, PM.web, and computerized maintenance management systems preferred. • Ability to perform facility inspections involving industrial areas, heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions. • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl, and reach during inspection duties. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for inspection or planning-related tasks. • Strong collaboration skills with maintenance personnel, schedulers, coordinators, and leadership.
