The starting salary for this position is £34,660 per annum, working 36 hours per week.

We are hiring an IT Support Technician to join our fantastic IT and Digital Service Desk Team! We support hybrid and remote working. Our dedicated IT & Digital Service Desk Team provide first line support to keep Surrey County Council's 11,000 strong workforce working when it comes to IT. Our team are integral to enabling staff to provide vital services to the residents of Surrey, it's as simple as that.

With the largest workforce in Surrey and a diverse range of different technology and software supporting our staff to do their jobs, the queries and support needed is often challenging but rewarding and this role will suit you if you are motivated by helping people and solving problems.

As a team, we are based at our office in Woodhatch Place, Reigate. However, you may be required to attend this or one of our other two hub sites (Victoria Gate in Woking and Dakota in Weybridge) typically for a minimum of 1- 2 days a week as part of the customer-facing service we provide.

On a day-to-day basis you will be putting your IT knowledge and customer service skills to the test by providing technical support to help solve queries, working where needed with 2nd and 3rd line support teams. We also welcome and encourage our team to contribute and develop ideas that mean we are always getting better and enhancing the service we provide.
