We are now looking for a Neighbourhood Officer to join us on a full-time basis, working 37 hours per week for a 9-12 month fixed-term contract.

The Role
As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will provide a proactive, practical and visible tenancy and estate management service to our customers and communities.
Getting out and about across Barsley, you will manage a designated patch, supporting new and existing tenants by providing welcome visits, practical advice and appropriate referrals, and identifying vulnerabilities and safeguarding concerns.
You will manage empty properties, working with internal teams and partners to re-let homes quickly and address tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour through appropriate interventions when required.
Additionally, you will:
- Complete support checklists and risk assessments - Make referrals to internal and external support services - Work with the Lettings Service to assess Housing Waiting List applications - Support the effective operation of the Lettings Policy - Help ensure the best use of housing stock - Support the sustainability of local communities
About You
To be considered as a Neighbourhood Officer, you will need:
- Experience in social housing, including estate and tenancy management, or community safety-related work - Experience of using software applications, including Microsoft Office and bespoke IT systems - The ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues - A willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service - An NVQ Level 3, BTEC National Certificate or equivalent, or relevant experience or transferable skills
