About this role
The State College Area School District is looking for an Electrician Specialist to provide students, staff, and visitors with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient educational environment. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in repair of electrical systems and equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, paid hourly, and potential for overtime. Starting at $25.40/hour. Retirement, Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits included. The ideal candidate should have the following skills:
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, heating and air conditioning systems, blueprints, including inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing and replacing commercial equipment and systems.
• Ability to enter and retrieve information from a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and in writing, with a wide variety of individuals and groups.
• Ability to work without direct supervision following the National Electrical Code as well as state and local building regulations.
• Possess or have ability to earn EPA 608, universal technician's certification within 180 days.
