TITLE: Clinical Adjunct Instructor, Health Occupations - Career & Tech - Per Diem TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Part Time REPORTS TO: Career & Tech Building Principal TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Provide classroom, lab and clinical instruction for required program theory, procedures, and skills in preparation for clinical experiences
• Supervise high school students during clinical rotations in various medical settings
• Instruct high school students of medical techniques in the clinical setting
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites
• Monitor students' academic progress including, but not limited to progress/marking period grades, attendance, hands-on performance skills
• Implement 504 plans and IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
• Keep current with changes and developments in the health care field
• Other responsibilities as determined by the CTE Principal
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Teaching and work experience as a Registered Nurse preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Practical Nurse Teaching Certification required. NYS Registered Nurse License required.
