Alternative School Teacher Professional Leadership 1. Will strive to build positive relationsihps with the school and community 2. Participates in communite structure to develop educational strategies for school 3. Will be punctual and regular in attendance 4. Will adhere to the state professional Code of Ethics Content Knowledge 1. Responsible for content knowledge across the disciplines taught 2. Is recponsible for planning and developing lessons 3. Will present accurage and factual information during instruction Plans Instruction 1. Plans instruction that: a. Develolps students abilities to communicate b. allows the student to apply core concepts c. enables students to become self-sufficient d. enables students to become responsible team members Assessment 1. Is responsible for developing and administering appropriate assessments Professional Development 1. Is expected to attend the required Professional Learning sessions 2. Maintains a professional growth plan Other 1. Responsible for supervision of students at all times 2. Responsible for maintaining student records Requirements: 1. Special education certification preffered 3. Special education work experience preferred 2. Minimum of ten years teaching experience
