Job Site: Kokomo - Darrough Chapel; Peru - South Peru Elementary Hours/Days: 37.5 hours per week, 186 days (9.5 months) Hourly Rate: $12.53 per hour Benefits: Group insurance programs, PERF, paid leave days Responsibilities: Assist Head Start teacher in daily classroom activities. May support primarily in one room or float between multiple rooms for support. Work one-on-one and in small groups with preschool students. Provide remediation support for students. Support the overall student growth in social, emotional, and kindergarten rediness skills. Assist with serving breakfast, lunch, and snack daily. Monitor students on the bus as needed. Attend Head Start mandatory training, follow Head Start performance standards and all requirements for state early childhood and Head Start licensing. Applicant should be able to work well with school staff and students. Complete other duties as requested. Minimum Qualifications: Mandatory FBI fingerprinting background check and other HS requirements. High school diploma or equivalent; AND Have one of the following or be willing to obtain to be highly qualified:
• Two-year college degree in Early Childhood or related field
• Childhood Development Associate certificate (CDA)
