Current Contract – KFACE Contract Position Summary The Asset Management Assistant & Media Specialist supports the efficient operation of school-wide resources, technology, and media systems. This role combines asset tracking and inventory management with media production and communication support. The position ensures that instructional materials, devices, and equipment are properly managed while also enhancing school communication through digital media, design, and content creation. The role directly supports student learning, staff efficiency, and school-wide initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Asset Management & Inventory
• Maintain accurate inventory of school assets including Chromebooks, textbooks, instructional materials, and equipment.
• Manage checkout and return systems for student and staff devices.
• Track, label, and organize all school assets using established systems and databases.
• Assist with procurement processes, including ordering, receiving, and distributing materials for instructional and CTE programs.
• Conduct routine audits and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, and lifecycle management of devices and equipment.
• Support textbook adoption, distribution, and collection processes.
Media Production & Communication
• Create and manage digital media content to support school communication (graphics, videos, social media, newsletters).
• Assist in promoting school programs, events, and achievements through various media platforms.
• Collaborate with staff to design instructional and promotional materials.
• Maintain visual consistency and branding across school communications.
• Support live or recorded media production for school events and presentations.
Technology & Systems Support
• Provide basic technical support for devices, media equipment, and instructional technology.
• Assist staff and students with learning platforms, media tools, and digital resources.
• Maintain and organize media equipment such as cameras, microphones, and presentation tools.
• Stay current with emerging media tools, asset tracking systems, and best practices.
Collaboration & Support
• Work closely with teachers, CTE programs, and administration to support instructional needs.
• Assist with organization and logistics for school events and programs.
• Serve as a resource for staff in accessing materials, equipment, and media tools.
• Support school improvement efforts and initiatives through efficient resource management and communication.
Data & Compliance
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, usage, and distribution of assets.
• Ensure compliance with district policies related to equipment use, purchasing, and digital media.
• Support documentation and reporting for grants and programs as needed.
Qualifications Required
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Basic knowledge of technology systems, devices, and media tools.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
Preferred
• Experience with asset management systems or inventory software.
• Experience in digital media creation (graphic design, video editing, or social media management).
• Experience working in a school or educational setting.
• Familiarity with Chromebook/device management systems.
Working Conditions
• School environment with frequent interaction with students and staff.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials (up to 30 lbs).
• Occasional evening events or extended hours to support school activities.
