Primary Job Function: The Reynoldsburg City Schools' Athletic Faculty Manager is responsible for assisting the Athletic Director with day-to-day athletic contest administration, facility coverage, event logistics, and crowd supervision for assigned Junior High and High School athletic programs during a specified sports season (Fall, Winter, or Spring), ensuring compliance with Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) regulations, district policies, and student safety standards. Minimum Qualifications: • Valid Ohio Educator License or valid Pupil Activity Permit (PAP) issued by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW). • Current certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (Lindsay's Law), and Student Mental Health as required by Ohio law. • Successful clearance of FBI and BCI criminal background checks. Preferred Qualifications: • Current Reynoldsburg City Schools staff member. • Experience in Junior High or High School athletic contest administration, event management, or coaching. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Primary functions may include the following duties, responsibilities, skills, abilities, and other characteristics. Junior High & High School Event Management Responsibilities • Coordinate on-site operations for designated Junior High and High School home athletic contests during the designated season (Fall, Winter, or Spring), including facility preparation, welcoming visiting teams and contest officials, and managing contest staff (ticket takers, scorekeepers, timers, and security). • Oversee student and spectator crowd management at middle school and high school venues to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful environment. • Serve as the primary administrative point of contact on-site during assigned home games and tournaments, resolving operational issues and implementing district emergency response procedures when necessary. Seasonal Operations & Compliance Responsibilities • Assist the Athletic Director in verifying student-athlete academic eligibility, physical examination forms, and emergency medical documentation for all middle school and high school teams active in the assigned season. • Help monitor seasonal athletic facilities, gymnasium spaces, fields, and equipment prior to and following contests to ensure optimal safety and operational readiness. • Enforce student conduct codes, OHSAA sportsmanship standards, Title IX regulations, and district board policies across all assigned seasonal athletic activities. Administrative & Logistics Responsibilities • Confirm contest official arrivals, athletic transportation arrangements, and event setup schedules prior to each assigned athletic contest. • Assist with gate receipt accounting, ticket reconciliation, and financial reporting in coordination with the district athletic department and treasurer guidelines. • Maintain clear communication with building principals, head coaches, athletic trainers, and visiting school athletic staff regarding game schedules, postponements, or facility changes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of • Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) rules, bylaws, and seasonal sport regulations for Junior High and High School levels. • State safety requirements for athletic programs (Pupil Activity Permit guidelines, concussion protocols, Lindsay's Law). • Facility operations, event logistics, and crowd management strategies for secondary school athletic events. Skilled in • Event organization, time management, and contest logistics execution. • Clear verbal and written communication with coaches, event personnel, contest officials, and community members. • Problem-solving and conflict resolution during high-energy athletic contests. Ability to • Model sportsmanship, equity, and the core principles of Reynoldsburg's Portrait of an Educator. • Maintain composure and exercise sound judgment during emergency or high- pressure situations. • Commit to flexible evening and weekend hours throughout the duration of the assigned sports season (Fall, Winter, or Spring).
