Essex Westford School District (EWSD) has an opportunity for a Long-Term Substitute 4th/5th Grade Teacher at Westford School, to cover for a leave of absence. This position is anticipated to begin in February 2027 and go through the end of the 26/27 school year. Pay: $310.00 for a full day EWSD is committed to considering out-of-state candidates who are eligible to hold a Vermont educator license but do not yet hold a license in this state. Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
• Valid Educator license, or ability to hold a VT educator license, with appropriate elementary-level endorsement.
• The ability and enthusiasm to effectively engage and inspire students.
• Excellent teaching, organization, planning, written and oral communication, creative and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a group.
• Ability to effectively integrate social and emotional learning in the classroom to help all students succeed.
• Experience teaching grade 1 preferred but not required.
