Nature of Position This position is responsible for the delivery, by truck, of supplies and equipment to various schools and offices, as well as for assisting with the receiving, storing, inventorying and issuing of school supplies and equipment. Reports To Title: Warehouse Manager Salary Schedule:102 Hourly Salary Scale.jpg WorkDays: 250 Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: Experience, Skill,and Certification Required • At least one year of experience as a delivery driver or of other work in a warehouse environment • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures • Ability to perform minor maintenance and servicing of trucks and fork lifts • Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license • Ability to operate fork lift Preferred Certification as a fork lift operator Duties and Responsibilities 1. Pick up and deliver books, furniture, supplies and other equipment 2. Operate fork lift in loading and unloading trucks, trailers, etc. 3. Unload and store incoming stock. 4. Stock shelves. 5. Assist with inventory. 6. Fill requisitions for delivery to various schools and offices. 7. Keep warehouse clean and orderly. 8. Assist with minor repairs or maintenance on trucks and fork lifts. 9. Perform other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization. Terms ofEmployment Incumbents are considered “at will” employees. Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade as determined by Human Resources and the incumbent's allowable experience. This is a 250 day position.
