About this role
Long term substitute for ESOL teacher. Mon-Fri: 7:45-11:34am Position located at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School. Approximate dates: September 18, 2026-November 30, 2026. Position can be combined with long-term substitute position located at Al Razi Academy. State of Iowa teaching license required. A strong belief system for collaboration with staff members and families. Long term pay is retro active on day 16, tier 2: has or held an Iowa teaching license $250/day, tier 1: has or held the correct Iowa endorsement for the assignment $275/day. Qualifications:
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm to work with students at the designated level.
• Ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
• Ability to provide instruction to effectively meet the needs of all students.
• Ability to effectively implement multiple teaching methods (co-teaching, small group, differentiation, etc).
• Knowledge and ability to implement the Iowa Teaching Standards.
• Knowledge of special education, section 504 and MTSS process.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to effectively use technology for instruction, communication and data management.
• Ability to effectively engage in professional growth individually and with collaborative teams.
• Ability to implement federal, state and district goals with students.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Department of Iowa regulations.
• Knowledge of Federal rights, Privacy Act and other civil rights regulations.

• Transcripts
