CLASS TITLE: EARLY HEAD START LEAD TEACHER REPORTS TO: School Principal EXEMPT STATUS: Non-exempt Class Code: 7349 BASIC FUNCTION: Provide high quality comprehensive child development services to prepare infants and toddlers for school. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of CDA relevant to specific age group. Prefer Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Development (IECE) REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
• Participate in and support all School Readiness and Family Engagement activities and trainings as
• Maintain an open, friendly, and cooperative relationship with each child's family that encourages their involvement in the program, and promotes them as their child's primary teacher.
• Implement the program's research-based selected curricula that includes:
• Goals for children's development and
• Experiences through which they will achieve these goals.
