NORTHWEST INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Job Title: Distribution Center Bond Inventory Clerk (0411) Reports to: Director of Planning Dept./Campus: Planning Pay Grade: P15 Duty Days: 235 Date Revised: 07/2026 Primary Purpose: Provide support to Inventory and Material Specialist. Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED. (Preferred)

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally)

• Proficient keyboarding skills

• Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to act responsibly.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform clerical functions in receiving orders.

• Supervise receipt of all shipments. process receiving, discrepancy, and damage reports as needed

• Receive orders and account for proper amounts to Purchase Order and Invoice.

• Scanning and Data entry, organize orders with Inventory Management system.

• Sort orders accordingly for distribution to campuses, including frequent lifting, carrying, moving, and sorting boxes weighing 45 pounds at minimum.

• Perform quality checks on stored inventory, including handling and repositioning boxes weighing 45 pounds at minimum.

• Update inventory count and maintain inventory records.

• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.

• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, carrying, moving, sorting, climbing, and other manual tasks. Approximately 75% of the essential job duties involve lifting and moving boxes weighing at minimum 45 pounds, including placing boxes onto and removing boxes from shelving units.

• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Equipment Used: Computer, Scanner, Hand Operated Pallet Jack, Personnel Lift Riser, box knife, and small hand tools Working Conditions: Warehouse, potential unconditioned spaces, sites under construction, multiple campuses throughout day Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, lifting, overhead reaching and twisting. Motion: Frequent walking, climbing step ladders, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching. Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) daily essential portion of duties Environment: Distribution Center: Surrounded by multiple shelving units and boxes. Exposure to dampness and humidity. Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: This position requires standing for extended periods while sorting and moving boxes on and off shelving units. The role involves repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of a computer. Essential functions include frequent bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, overhead reaching, prolonged sitting, and keyboarding. Approximately 75% of the essential duties involve the ability to lift, carry, and move boxes weighing at least 45 pounds, including lifting items to and from shelving units.
