DEPARTMENT: Superintendent and Human Resources REPORTS TO: HS Principal or Associate Principal RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM: School Nurse, and coordinates with special education teachers, district and school staff, and parents. BASIC FUNCTION: To lead the medicaid reimbursement efforts district-wide by coordinating all aspects of the claims process, including maintenance of all records, coordination with the billing contractor, and other related duties as assigned. • Competency and creativity in the use of: • PC/Windows operating system • Various computer programs • Internet and e-mail • Student information and financial management systems • Various office equipment: fax, copier, scanner, etc. • Central Rivers AEA - Information Management System

• Willingness to learn new operations or technology, including the on-line billing system, as the need arises. • Maintain an Excel worksheet of Medicaid claims (student name, student address, grade level, DOB, building, building address, teacher, school district, expiration date of consent and IEP, Behavior Intervention Plan on file, diagnosis code, goal services, receiving transportation, tracking forms sent and received). • Maintain an Excel worksheet with all the consent forms received from buildings (student's name, DOB, parent/guardian, parent declines or agrees to consent, date consent signed). • Maintain the Medicaid shared folder for teachers and shared folder for nurses. • Update and maintain individual files for Medicaid eligible students. • Prepare and distribute monthly forms for eligible students. • Review all claims for accuracy and appropriateness. • Return forms to individuals for correction, if needed. • Provide Professional Development to DCSD staff on Medicaid process in coordination with DCSD Health Coordinator, DCSD Special Education Coordinator, and Timberline Billing Services. • Participate in audits. • Coordinate with Timberline Billing Services. • Attend professional development for Medicaid as directed. • Submit claims to Timberline Billing Services. • File Behavior, Health and Transportation claims returned from Timberline Billing Services 14. Preparation of files for the new school year. • Preparation of transportation forms for eligible students. • Lead district staff in the implementation of the electronic billing system 17. Load templates and manage the electronic billing system. • Collaborate with staff to answer questions and communicate about requirements. • Train employees in working with Medicaid on proper process and documentation on claiming. ABILITIES: This position will require physical demands that include constant sitting, manual dexterity, reaching/pushing/pulling, lifting up to 25 pounds, carrying 35 feet, working inside, and extremes in temperature/humidity. There will be frequent walking, climbing/stairs and bending/stooping. There will be occasional driving, and reaching/pushing/pulling. KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION: Required:

• High School Diploma or GED Desired:
