Smart Kids, 25 Malahide Road Dublin 3 - D03 NW02 is currently looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Child Educator to oversee and manage daily activities at our Chidcare setting. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, play, and develop essential social skills. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education. Responsibilities: Childcare & Education: Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Encourage positive behavior and social interaction among children. Support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development through structured and free play. Supervises children’s games and encourages the development of physical, social and language skills. Organises and supervises children on excursions. Puts away equipment and cleans premises after use. Parental Engagement & Communication: Build positive relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and activities. Address concerns or queries from parents in a professional and supportive manner. Administrative Duties: Maintain attendance records and ensure proper documentation of children’s activities and progress. Manage playgroup resources, ensuring toys, learning materials, and play areas are clean and wellmaintained. Assist in planning special events, outings, and themed activities. Requirements: Previous experience in early childhood education, childcare or related area. A recognized childcare qualification (e.g., Level 5 or higher in Early Childhood Care & Education) or in progress. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and caring approach. Strong organizational and leadership skills. First Aid and Child Safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain). Educational Requirement: QQI/FETAC Minimum level 5 qualification in Childcare OR willingness to obtain Competency Skills: Flexibility, Problem Solving, Teamwork Flexibility to work in all areas of Day Services. Professional, accountable, good planning and time management skills. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Pay: €36,610 per year Work Location: 25 Malahide Road Dublin 3 D03 NW02 Work Pattern: Daytime / Morning & Afternoon availability, Monday – Friday (5 days) 39 hours a week
