About this role
Essential Requirements • Hold a minimum of 2 QQI Level 5 modules, including: o Care Skills o Care of Older Persons • Willing to work towards completing the QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support. • Have a caring, compassionate, and positive attitude towards supporting people in their own homes. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Reliable, trustworthy, and professional in all aspects of work. • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently. • Willingness to travel within the community to provide home care services. • Access to a car or ability to commute using alternative transport options, such as TFI, Dart, Luas, or local public transport. Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to Service Users in their own homes. • Assist Service Users with personal care, daily living activities, and practical household tasks. • Promote independence, dignity, choice, and community inclusion. • Support Service Users to maintain and enhance their quality of life. • Monitor and report any changes in a Service User's health, wellbeing, or circumstances. • Build and maintain positive, therapeutic, and professional relationships with Service Users and their families. • Ensure the safety and welfare of Service Users through effective observation, accurate record keeping, and timely reporting. • Follow care plans, company policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines at all times.
