If you are 21 years or over and unemployed for more than 12 months in receipt of a social welfare payment this is your opportunity to change career with a stepping stones to employment . Weekly rate €286.50 single & extra for dependents / Children. The programme will give successful applicants the opportunity for practical work experience of 19.5 hours per week in conjunction with studying towards a QQI qualification in their chosen career. The work experience and training will enable applicants to secure future employment opportunities within various sectors. All training cost are funded 100% through the programme. Key tasks include dusting wooden pews, retail shelves, display cases, and brass fittings; clearing burnt-out tealight cups and wax at candle stations; sweeping main aisles, doorways, and shop floors; hoovering (vacuuming) runner mats, carpeted areas, and around cabinet bases in the sacristy; wiping high-touch areas like door handles, counters, and donation boxes; and emptying small waste bins around the sacristy and entrance porch Applicants must supply two suitable character references and be prepared to complete the online Garda vetting application process.
