Location: Hybrid - DBS, 13/14 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, D02 WC04 Reports to: Production Lead and Head of Digital Ventures Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term Working Hours: 39 hours per week Salary: €37,000 Position Overview Dublin Business School is seeking a skilled and adaptable Video Production & AV Specialist to plan, produce, record, edit, and deliver high-quality digital video and multimedia content for institutional learning, internal communications, and marketing as required. The successful candidate will manage video productions from initial planning and recording through to editing, post-production, and final delivery, while also providing specialist operational support for audio-visual systems across lecture halls, event spaces, and recording studios. The role is responsible for the effective operation of DBS recording facilities and for working directly with staff, faculty, and other stakeholders to produce professional digital content. The Video Production & AV Specialist will contribute to the ongoing development of the Creative Studios by identifying opportunities to improve production workflows, operational efficiencies, accessibility, and the adoption of relevant new technologies. Key relationships: Head of Digital Ventures, Learning Designers, Quality Assurance, Graphics & Animation, Academic Faculty, Industry Partners/SMEs Key Duties & Responsibilities Video Production & Post-Production: Plan, coordinate, film, and edit digital video content, including academic lectures, promotional material, online course modules, institutional announcements, and other digital media productions. Manage end-to-end video production and post-production workflows using industry-standard software, including Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition. Deliver professional multi-camera editing, colour correction, audio mixing and mastering, graphics integration, and captioning, ensuring outputs meet appropriate quality and accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 where applicable. Manage media assets, digital storage, archiving, metadata, and distribution formats, ensuring content is optimised for web, social media, and internal learning management systems (LMS). Produce and manage multiple podcast and recorded-media projects, liaising with hosts, guests, academic teams, and internal stakeholders to coordinate recording, post-production, and final delivery. Audio-Visual Operations & Technical Support: Set up, operate, and provide specialist support for AV and recording technology across campus classrooms, hybrid lecture rooms, event spaces, conference facilities, and recording studios. Diagnose and resolve AV hardware and software issues affecting live events, academic lectures, webcasts, recordings, and hybrid delivery. Carry out routine testing, operational checks, preventive maintenance, and relevant firmware or software updates to support the reliable operation of AV and production systems.
