About this role
Working as part of an experienced and dedicated team to maintain our multi-award winning organic community garden. You will assist us to keep our beautiful heritage village clean and tidy. An interest in organic horticulture and garden is an advantage for this role. Please note that is an outdoor role involving manual work all year round. Duties include: - General upkeep of the garden and woods - Digging and moving soil - Hedge trimming - Pruning trees and shrubs - Lawn maintenance - Keeping pathways clean and clear - Litter control in the garden and village - Planting trees, flowers and vegetables - Cleaning and maintenance of our fishpond - Taking care of the raised beds - Weed removal - Safe use, handling and storage of all garden tools and equipment - Assist with community events, Christmas, Hallowe'en, etc. What we offer: - a great place to work - full training and support from a hardworking team - the opportunity to get QQI certificates in all aspects of horticulture - be part of a community and make a difference This position is based in Julianstown, Co.
