The post is temporary and will end in September 2026, with no expectation of extension.
Key Responsibilities
Support the processing of patient referrals, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
Manage incoming clinical correspondence (letters, reports, discharge summaries)
Update and maintain accurate patient records using the clinical system (EMIS)
File, scan, and code documents in line with practice protocols
Assist with general administrative duties to support the wider team
Liaise with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth workflowMaintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection standards at all times
Person Specification
Experience Essential
Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organisational and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable and professional approach to work Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office or equivalent) Good written and verbal communication skills Understanding of basic medical terminology Interest in working within healthcare or the NHS
Desirable
Previous administrative experience Familiarity with EMIS or other clinical systems
