Job summary
Role DescriptionWe are recruiting (1) Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+) in Neurosurgery for 12-month fixed term post.
A dedicated Consultant led neurosurgical teaching programme supports ongoing professional development, alongside opportunities for audit, research, and portfolio enhancement.

Main duties of the job
1:9 Resident Full-Shift On-Call (12 hours)
1-2 General Neurosurgical Clinics per week
3 sessions of Elective Neurosurgical operating per week
Inpatient Ward-Rounds
Clinical Governance:It will be expected that the candidate has prior experience of completing an Audit cycle and will have been involved in one or more quality improvement projects previously. As part of the yearly Appraisal process, they would be strongly encouraged to be actively involved in Clinical Governance within the department during their employment.
Research:There are extensive opportunities to be involved in research whilst in post. The department has a very strong academic record, having been (and is currently) involved in several landmark Neurosurgical studies.
