The Role

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the delivery of learning programmes tailored to individual learner needs. Assisting with educational activities both in and outside the classroom. Building positive, trusting relationships with learners while maintaining professional boundaries. Promoting confidence, independence, self-esteem and emotional wellbeing. Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting learners to overcome barriers to education. Working closely with teachers, families and external professionals to support learner progress. Supporting young people to prepare for their next steps, including transitions into further education, training or employment where appropriate.Promoting safeguarding and wellbeing, ensuring concerns are raised and acted upon in line with school policies. Contributing to reviews, meetings and learner progress discussions. Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and motivating learning environment.About You

Experienced in supporting children and young people who may present with challenging behaviour, social, emotional or mental health needs. A strong team player with a flexible and proactive approach. Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and continuous professional development. Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE Grade 4/C or above, Functional Skills Level 2, or equivalent).Experience working with children and young people in an education, care or support setting is essential, alongside the values, attitude and commitment needed to make a positive difference every day.

Qualifications Essential
Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE Grade 4/C or above, Functional Skills Level 2, or equivalent). Experience working with children and young people in an education, care or support setting is essential.
