Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded and innovative mental health serviceinside HMP Buckley Hall.
The service principles are based around social therapy, and we have an extensive offer of social prescribing activities that the successful applicant will help facilitate and develop our Arts on Prescription pathway
As such an interest or talent in creative arts/craft - particularly music production or performance would be an advantage, as would a knowledge of other arts & crafts and to be able to deliver low intensity psychologically informed interventions for anxiety and depression.
Main duties of the job
Working in close proximity with mental health service users and their carers whereappropriate.
Working flexibly and responsively to provide support and assistance to meet theassessed mental health needs of the service and service users.
Working collaboratively across a range of disciplines to continuously develop expertisein assisting team members to achieve positive health care outcomes for service users.
Promoting the health, well being and mental health of service users and carers.
Promoting the development of the role to support and promote skill mix and workforcemodernisation within their service areas.
Facilitate and develop group therapies/activities

Person Specification
Experience/ qualification Essential
Experience of working with offenders or providing community based social prescribing solutions or experience of facilitating activity sessions or therapeutic groups
Desirable
Foundation Degree) in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Experience/ qualification Essential
Extensive knowledge of Mental Health, Social Care, SMS or younger persons services

NVQ 3 or equivalent training Qualifications related to Psychological health and /depression /anxiety management or demonstrated experience.
