Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Analyze program data to ensure operational readiness throughout the organization; 2). Compose specific guidance regarding the implementation of new procedures and general directives for command-wide applications designed to improve command readiness reporting; and 3). Establish lines of communication with personnel to monitor the readiness of assigned forces and resources throughout the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Major DutiesMonitor the readiness of assigned forces and resources within the USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).Compose specific guidance regarding the implementation of new procedures and general directives for command-wide applications designed to improve command readiness reporting.Analyze data to resolve problems regarding effectiveness and efficiency of staffing activities.Establish criteria to measure and/or predict the attainment of organizational goals and objectives.Conduct command-wide DRRS (Defense Readiness Reporting System) training.Maintain DRRS curriculum and coordinate periodic re-certification with Joint Staff.Provide technical guidance on matters concerning use of the DRRS system.
