Role overview
We are looking for a MET Technician to join the Citygate Team to carry out all bodyshop work in an efficient and safe manner, to meet customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity
Key responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as a MET Technician will be:
To work as part of the Bodyshop team to carry out repairs to customer and company vehicles in accordance with the work instruction and the manufacturers repair methodsExamining vehicles for damage other than that listed on the repair instruction, to list any additional damage found on the document supplied and pass the document to the Bodyshop controller.Examine vehicle repair instructions to determine vehicle location, Place all required protective items in the vehicle before moving the vehicle. (i.e. seat covers floor mats etc)Examine vehicles repair instructions carrying out repairs accordinglyCarry out each job within the budgeted time as set out on job card – to maintain own labour productivityWorking in accordance with workshop and dealership Health & Safety requirementsWorking with colleagues to maintain workshop standards of cleanliness and tidinessTaking personal responsibility for the daily maintenance of workshop equipment, and reports equipment defects or problems that need attentionFollowing key processes to achieve specified quality and efficiency targetsWorking with the dealership to develop improved, more efficient processesAttends specialised training as required (e.g. in new VM vehicles, technology or new workshop equipment)Works with colleagues and other teams across the dealership to provide a seamless service to customers (e.g. by informally observing and responding to the needs of customers who are not being attended to by other members of staff)Ensures opportunities for sales are followed up by the most appropriate specialistReports on technical problems using appropriate procedures What's in it for you?

As a MET Technician, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
Excellent attention to DetailLevel 3 qualification or equivalent is an advantage but not essentialPrevious experience in a similar roleFull, clean UK driving licence Why Citygate
