About the team
The Disposals team has been recently established to increase the pace and scale of receipts from the sale of Council-owned properties. The team also supports on the acquisition of new property used to deliver frontline services. The team work closely with the Estates and Development teams within the Property service, as well as with Legal and Finance teams at the Council.
About the role
The role of the Disposals Officer is to assist the Head of Disposals and other members of the team to deliver an effective disposals programme. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include
Developing and implementing controls to make sure that all property sales are done in a compliant manner, and meet with the legal obligations and internal governance rules of the County CouncilAssisting the Head of Disposals and Strategic Asset Manager with reportingSupporting other members of the team with their cases. This includes but is not limited to assisting on due diligence and the development of sale strategies prior to marketing, and enquiries during the conveyancing processLeading on their own property sales (with appropriate support from the line manager and other team members)

About you
Essential:
Experience of working in a property sales, estate agency, compliance, or project management related role. Or a role with comparable skill requirements and responsibilities.Excellent organisational and time management skillsProactive and adaptableGCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent)IT competency with standard database software and Microsoft Office suiteFull Driving Licence Desirable:
Experience of working for a public sector organisationExperience of working in a property environmentKnowledge of the property sales process and Basic understanding of property law and compliance rules as it applies to property salesApprenticeship level 4 in a property related subject, or equivalent experience in a property-related role
