Engineering Technician
Location: Severnside Business Areas: Dairy Contract: Permanent Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 days, 2 nights, 7am–7pm)
We’re recruiting several Engineering Technicians to join our Engineering teams at our Severnside site, supporting both the Dairy operation and the Blow Moulding facility.
These roles sit within different teams and departments, but the scope, expectations and skill requirements are the same across both areas.
Dairy roles focus on processing, filling and packaging equipment, while Blow Moulding roles support high-speed bottle manufacturing and moulding lines.
The Role
You’ll deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across site, with a strong electrical focus alongside solid mechanical fault-finding. The role is key to minimising downtime, identifying root cause, and implementing improvements to equipment reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Planned, reactive and corrective maintenance on production equipmentElectrical fault-finding alongside mechanical and pneumatic diagnosisBasic automation fault finding and remediationCompletion of PM, CBM, CI and corrective maintenance tasksIdentify root cause issues and implement improvementsSupport FMEA and continuous improvement activities What We’re Looking For
Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeshipHNC Electrical preferred (or Mechanical with strong electrical competence)Strong electrical capability with sound mechanical skillsMaintenance experience within a manufacturing / FMCG environmentAutomation and CI tools experience advantageousIOSHH / NEBOSH desirable What’s In It For You
