Descriptif missionSafran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem & Steenokkerzeel, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. The company is a key player in the integrated CFM international MRO network. With more than 75 years of experience, and up to 20 international Part 145 certifications (EASA/ FAA/ CAAC/ ...), Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is recognized as a worldwide center of expertise in the air transport industry. Your role: The Transport Officer is responsible for the daily monitoring and coordination of transport shipments within Europe and to/from non-EU countries. The role ensures that transportation activities are carried out on time, efficiently, and in accordance with established requirements and service levels. The Transport Officer serves as a key link and point of contact between internal teams, freight forwarders/carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners. Your responsibilities: Follow-up and monitoring o Follow up on EU and non-EU transport shipments from booking through to delivery. o Monitor transport statuses, transit times, and scheduled deliveries. o Proactively follow up on delays, deviations, and other operational issues. o Maintain accurate and up-to-date transport administration and reporting. Carrier / Freight Forwarder Management o Request and follow up on transport bookings; evaluate and approve transport movements in accordance with specified service requirements. o In consultation with the manager, select and assign carriers for specific transport routes and freight flows. o Identify, monitor, coordinate, and escalate structural issues involving transport partners. KPI and Performance Management o Monitor and report on carrier performance and identify trends. o Discuss performance issues with partners, propose improvement actions, and follow up on their implementation. o Coordinate actions with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of transport performance.
